Children and Schools

We are delighted to share our education resource website with you LEARN ABOUT BATS

You will find lots of free resources, games, arts, crafts, and puzzles.

If you are a small community group, eco club or tidy towns committee you can request a free event from us by filling in our event query form.  In the section where it asks for ‘fee’ just select ‘no funding’ from the dropdown list.

Our project co-ordinator will be in touch to arrange the event with you and will ask for a letter on headed paper confirming you meet our free event criteria:

  • Your group’s income is less than 20,000 per year.
  • You are a small group of volunteers.
  • You don’t receive external funding.

We provide all equipment, activities, facilitator and our bat event usually consists of:

  • Bat Quiz.
  • Kids’ activities.
  • Bats in Ireland talk.
  • How to use a heterodyne detector.
  • Guided bat walk.
