The Bat Panel

Love bats?

Want to help get local communities involved in their conservation through bat talks, walks & other events

Then our new Bat Panel might just be for you!

Launched in April 2024, this new initiative will allow us to bring bat conservation events to every county in Ireland. We have trained 41 bat panel members in spring 2024, and another 30 will join the panel in autumn 2024.

Community groups, eco clubs, and tidy towns committees with an income less than 20,000euro per year can request a free event from us.

The event request is passed to our bat groups first, then if bat groups aren’t available, our bat panel members step in to help. To request a free event go to our event query form
