If you are about to carry out repairs, re-roofing or alterations to a building that you think may have a bat roost please contact your local Wildlife Ranger for advice before starting and have a read of our leaflet on bats and buildings. Usually, if there is a bat roost it may be a case of timing the work so that bats are not disturbed at their most vulnerable.
Bat should be able to continue to use the roost following completion of building work.
