Digital Biodiversity Week 2020

May 20, 2020 By Dawn Quinn

To celebrate Biodiversity Week this year, we have a number of online activities that will appeal to all those looking to learn more about bats and how they behave in our natural environment.  To celebrate bat biodiversity we will be posting videos and bat facts on alternative days over the next week on our Facebook Page.

We will round up our online activities by launching our drawing competition the “The Big Bat Draw”, the theme being “What I Love about Irish Bats”. Hopefully the videos and bat facts will inspire our younger bat enthusiasts to draw what it is they love about Irish bats!

To watch the videos, we will be posting a link to our YouTube Channel: BatConservation Ireland.

Video 1: An Introduction to Bat Detectors – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxByxM9wwvc – is now live.  Please do follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with our online programme of activities – http://www.facebook.com/Bat-Conservation-Ireland
