Bat Conservation Ireland Small Grants Scheme now open for Applications!

February 19, 2024 By Dawn Quinn

Bat Conservation Ireland are delighted to announce the opening of the application process for our Small Grants Scheme for 2025!

There are 4 funding streams available for bat-related research, conservation and events in Ireland for 2025 as follows:

  • Funding for Bat Groups affiliated to Bat Conservation Ireland;
  • Funding for bat education events;
  • Irish-based bat research; and
  • Carrying out bat conservation work.

Projects are required to be completed during the time period April to November 2024 and successful applicants are required to submit all final reports and supporting documentation by 21 November 2025.

We have a limited fund to support activities in 2025 that will promote and/or conserve bats in Ireland.  We have developed an online application form for this year in order to streamline the process, which you can find here:

  • https://www.batconservationireland.org/small-grants-scheme-application

Deadline for applications for the current funding phase has been extended to: Wednesday 18 April 2025 @ 5pm.   Our online application process will close after this date.

Please refer to the grant Terms and Conditions, before completing your application, which you can see here: Bat-Conservation-Ireland-Grant-Terms-and-Conditions.

Should you have any queries about the application process or your proposed project, please e-mail: [email protected]
