We warmly welcome children on bat walks and talks in the company of their parent or guardian but training and surveys are not suitable for children. For events that include an outdoor element please wear warm clothing and suitable footwear.
John Lusby of Birdwatch Ireland and Niamh Roche of Bat Conservation Ireland will present a fun and an informative evening about Ireland’s night time creatures, barn owls and bats. Join us at 7.30pm for John’s talk about barn owls and take a look at the barn owl boxes that our local Men’s Shed have made for the area. As the sun sets we will move outside to see bats flying at twilight and listen in on their calls using bat detectors.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Wear sturdy footwear and suitable outdoor clothing. Bring a torch.
