Batty Ballyshannon

Join us for a unique event in beautiful Ballyshannon to celebrate Biodiversity Week.

Starting off with an indoor session, you will learn all about bats in Ireland through a short talk and quiz.  Younger visitors will take part in some batty crafts. Refreshments will be provided.

At sunset, we will go on a moonlit walk with special bat detecting equipment.

This is a free event organised as part of Biodiversity Week 2024.

  • Any participant requirements:
    • Free event
    • Suitable for children aged 7+
    • All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times
    • Participants are advised to wear a warm waterproof coat and strong footwear
    • Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
    • In event of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled and participants will be informed by email of new arrangements
