An all-Ireland charity that promotes the conservation of bats and their habitats
Click on an event for further location details and information. Please note that map locations may be approximate. If you need further directions to attend an event, please Contact Us. We warmly welcome children on bat walks and talks in the company of their parent or guardian but training and surveys are not suitable for children. For events that include an outdoor element please wear warm clothing and suitable footwear.
Organised by Wildlife Rehabilitation Ireland, at this exciting evening bat walk, you will have the opportunity to walk at dusk with an experienced guide from Kildare Bat Group, searching for beautiful bats. You will learn about the life cycle of these fascinating creatures and hopefully get to see and hear some of the bats.
Please bring warm clothes as this event takes place after sunset. Children are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
There is no artificial lighting along the route (perfect for bats!) so please bring a torch in case you need to break away from the main group for any reason.
