Bat Talk – Gorey Library, Co. Wexford

Dr. Alan Poole of Wexford Bat Group, will be giving this talk. aimed at anyone with an interest in wildlife, with a focus on our Irish bats. This talk will introduce our local species, and discuss where they are found, what they require to survive, and the threats that they face. How we identify bats and and use bat detectors to listen to their ultrasonic world, will also be covered. The talk will give information on Wexford Bat Group, which was formed in 2022, with the aim of promoting an appreciation of and the conservation of Bats in county Wexford.
