Discover Bats at Castlecomer

Celebrate Biodiversity Week with a bat walk around Castlecomer Discovery Park!

  • This is a free event, open to all and will involve walking through the various habitats in the park, watching and listening for bats at night.
  • The walk will begin at the front entrance to Castlecomer Discovery Park Centre, please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Head torches are welcomed, particularly red light torches.
  • The event will begin soon after sunset at 21:00 and will aim to finish as close to 22:30 as possible.
  • Attendees should note that we will be covering rough ground and open water at times.

This event is a joint event held by the Kilkenny Field Naturalists Club, Bat Conservation Ireland (Kildare Bat Group) & Castlecomer Discovery Park.
