SUMMARY:Bat Handling & Capture Methods Training Course
DESCRIPTION:Bat Conservation Ireland is offering training to people who wish to gain confidence in handling bats to allow for accurate identification and to learn about different methods of capture in the field.\nThis course will require attendees to take part in capture sessions using hand nets\, harp traps and mist nets and handle bats to allow identification. \nClassroom sessions will cover legal\, ethical and logistical aspects of handling and capturing bats. \nAttendees will also participate in biometric sessions of captured bats. \nDaytime participation in setting up and dismantling of harp traps and mist nets will also be undertaken. \nTicket price includes tutoring\, dinner on Saturday evening and tea and coffee breaks. Delegates are responsible for their own accommodation and lunches.
