DESCRIPTION:Join Kildare Bat Group at The Harbour\, Naas\, for a batty fun-filled evening! At 9.30pm at the Library steps meet Anna Collins who will lead a bat walk to Oldtown Bridge and back. Using bat detectors you can listen in on their ultrasonic calls and watch these elusive creatures in flight. Anna will describe some of the Irish species and their life cycle as the walk progresses. \nThis event is free and open to all. It is being held as part of Biodiversity Week 2019. \nPlease wear sturdy footwear and warm outdoor clothing and bring a torch. Children welcome if accompanied by an adult. DESCRIPTION:Join us and discover the world of bats in your locality! We will use bat detectors to listen in to their night time sounds watch them in flight. For this walk we will be at the canal in Naas\, Co. Kildare @ 9.30 pm. We will meet at Naas Public Library. \nAll are welcome\, children must be accompanied by an adult. Warm clothing and outdoor footwear is recommended. Bring a torch. \nBat Walks are approximately 1.5 hrs long. Events with a bat talk\, are 2 hrs long. \nBat Conservation Ireland has been supported by the Irish Environmental Network in running this event.
