SUMMARY:Daubenton's Bat Training Course
DESCRIPTION:Bat Conservation Ireland needs YOU to survey your local waterway for bats! This survey is a great introduction to Ireland’s nocturnal wildlife. To join the survey please come along on one of our FREE evening training courses in June and July. \nTraining involves an indoor presentation for about one hour\, followed by an outdoor survey to identify Daubenton’s bat in flight. \nNo prior bat survey experience is necessary\, just plenty of enthusiasm. \nPlease wear sturdy footwear\, outdoor clothing. Bring a torch and a bat detector if you have one\, but we can lend you a bat detector if you don’t. \nThe All-Ireland Daubenton’s Waterways Survey is funded by the National Parks and Wildlife Service and Northern Ireland Environment Agency.
